The company was selected among the finalist startups of South Summit's Startup Competition 2026, one of Latin America's leading innovation gatherings, set to take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
On March 4, 2026, Earth Tech Materials (ETM) was named a finalist at South Summit Brazil, competing in the Startup Competition 2026 in Porto Alegre. The selection extends a streak of four international recognitions so far this year, following Solar Impulse Foundation's Efficient Solution label, selection for Formwork Labs Accelerator's cohort, and inclusion in The SET100 List.
South Summit brings together hundreds of startups from Latin America and Europe each year in front of investors, corporates, and innovation institutions. Reaching the finalist stage puts ETM directly in front of the audience the company needs for its next stage: validated technology, ready to scale, with real traction beyond Mexico.
"South Summit puts us in front of the kind of investor we need to scale beyond Mexico," said Walter Mata, Founder & CEO of Earth Tech Materials. "Reaching the finalist stage confirms something we already knew: the technology is ready, and the market is starting to see it too."
About Earth Tech Materials
Earth Tech Materials was founded in Monterrey in 2020 to convert industrial waste into the next generation of construction materials. Today, ETM leads the transformation of mining and construction waste into high-performance building systems: Cimbras, reusable formwork, and EcoClinker, a low-carbon clinker substitute. The Earth Tech Materials team works toward one clear mission: proving that today's waste is tomorrow's construction standard.
