Earth Tech Materials (formerly WAS Company), the Mexican sustainable construction materials company, arrived in New York this week with a spot on one of Times Square's most iconic billboards, awarded to the company in recognition of its work. ETM will also take part in Climate Week NYC, one of the world's leading gatherings on climate action.

The milestone comes at a key moment: the company is finalizing agreements to begin operations in the United States and Canada, markets that will join its existing operations in Mexico, Peru, and Chile.

As part of this growth phase, ETM confirmed it is currently raising its Seed round. The capital will support the company's international expansion and accelerate the development of its technology.

"Being in Times Square isn't just a showcase — it's a statement about where this industry is heading. We are deeply committed to decarbonizing the cement industry, and this is just the next step on a path we're already building across five countries," said Walter Mata Martínez, CEO & Founder of Earth Tech Materials.

Cement production accounts for roughly 8% of global CO₂ emissions, making it one of the sectors most urgently in need of lower-impact alternatives. Earth Tech Materials addresses that challenge directly with construction materials that carry a lower carbon footprint without compromising structural performance.
