The low-carbon cementitious material developed in Monterrey becomes ETM's first solution internationally recognized by the organization founded by Bertrand Piccard to certify clean, profitable, and scalable technologies.

In January 2026, Solar Impulse Foundation awarded the Efficient Solution label to EcoClinker, the low-carbon cementitious material developed by Earth Tech Materials (ETM) from mining waste. The recognition certifies that the technology meets the foundation's standards across three criteria: environmental viability, technical viability, and economic viability.

The cement industry carries one of the highest carbon footprints in global manufacturing. EcoClinker was engineered to cut that footprint without requiring new infrastructure: it partially substitutes traditional clinker, reduces associated CO₂ emissions by up to 70%, and integrates directly into existing cement plants. Solar Impulse Foundation's label externally validates what ETM has maintained internally since the product's 2025 launch — that emissions reduction and industrial viability aren't competing goals.
